For what reason did the screen land a green line

I've only had it for about a month. Like I said, picked it up in Europe when my phone broke. I now have the replacement from insurance so would like to get back a bit of what I paid for this one. It is in the same condition from when I bought it. I purchased at a cell phone resale shop.
It will have a clear case that covers the back and sides, the screen protector that was on it when I bought it and I can throw in a charging cable and plug. Store owner didn't state how the green line got there. In one month it hasn't gotten worse and honestly, I hardly notice it. In dark mode it's grayish
