There is a warranty through Asurion. Per Verizon's page:
Replacement devices come with 12-month limited warranty. So if your replacement device is malfunctioning, please call 888-881-2622.

Apologies for the confusion. Originally through Verizon, but it is carrier unlocked, and as it is an Apple device there is no effective difference as there is no carrier specific branding or software etc.
