Just uploaded a photo with the warranty displayed as well

Is the phone fully paid off?

Kenny S. Seller
- Jul 20, 2025 - 04:18 PM

Yes the phone is fully paid off

- Jul 20, 2025 - 04:53 PM

Thanks. Would you be able to share proof of that before or after purchase?

Kenny S. Seller
- Jul 20, 2025 - 05:15 PM

Yeah what is the best way to show that is is? I can show you that the device is unlocked. Open to other suggestions as well

- Jul 20, 2025 - 05:57 PM

I’d like to buy the phone but just want to make sure it’s fully unlocked and paid off to protect myself. I’m not 100% sure how you can share that, but perhaps you can share the receipt right after purchase or you can blackout demographic data ensure that as one of the pictures on the listing?

- Jul 20, 2025 - 06:00 PM

And then of course share the full receipt after purchase that shows Serial number/imei

Let me know if you would like to call or what the best way to share this is. I think I found the installment plan details on my now closed account. Also digging up the original purchase documents.

Also AT&T only unlocks devices after they are fully paid off, and the device is unlocked.

Please note that sellers should not share IMEI information nor are buyers permitted to ask for it. This FAQ page explains why: http://swappa.com/faq/sell/share-esn-numbers

- Jul 20, 2025 - 07:26 PM

I wasn’t advocating or asking for the IMEI. I was merely stating that I wouldn’t be able to confirm. It’s fully paid off without it. Do you have other recommendations on how to confirm device is fully paid off?

Two seller: would you be able to post a picture of the installment plan being closed with some digits of IMEI blocked out?

To seller*

Sorry about typos and grammar mistakes above. I used voice dictation and didn’t check things after.

I just uploaded two screenshots, one of the initial installment agreement and the second of the final bill where I paid off the remaining balance. Does this work for you?

To Swappa staff: what is the best way to give confidence to the buyer that the phone is indeed unlocked and paid off?
