The phone came out of the box from Apple and went into the OtterBox and came out of the outer box and back into the Apple box for you.

I will even include the old magsafe OtterBox defender. It's a little worse for wear but that's what it was there for. Hard to get apart, but it still serves its function. Don't forget to put in the physical SIM if you have one before you put it on, the inner frame is fairly thin, so you don't want to handle it too much.
