I have asked Mint Mobile to unlock the device before the usual 60 day wait period and they said they would unlock it within 24 - 72 hours. Generally a remote network unlock takes effect once the device is connected to WiFi and then restarted.

Currently the listings for new unlocked pixel 9 for sale are between $490-$600.

I can match the lowest listing at $490 if you'd like.

But I'm open to just keeping it for my personal use and not desperate to sell.

Yes, Mint unlocked it from their end. It's a remote unlock and takes effect once the phone is online.

The phone is still sealed in the box. The way the unlock is activated is you turn it on, connect to Wi-Fi, and restart.

I'm confident it will work and would buy it back from you if something went wrong .

Alternatively I can open it up myself to verify but I didn't want to do that since I'm selling it as new in box.

I was asking, as i heard few cases where mint mobile did not unlock devices. So wanted to have it unlocked, before i can buy it.

I'm not sure what to do about that. I could take it out if the box to check but then I couldn't sell it as "new".
