Buying Maxes without AppleCare+ can be a bit risky since many start having issues around the 13–14 month mark, and Apple usually charges around $300 for repairs.

Also, if you check the serial number on Apple’s warranty site, there’s a chance it might not even be eligible for AppleCare anymore.

Any potential buyer would like to be able to verify the serial number themselves. Quite frankly, You being hesitant to list it. raises a red flag.

Does not recommend does not mean you aren’t able to. But again, to each their own. Just stating the obvious concern from a buyers point of view with so many replicas out there being sold
