Good morning! Thanks for your question and interest! There is a very minor ‘fleck’ (not sure what else to call it, it’s not a crack) on the screen, but it’s in very good condition. I’ve attached a couple other pictures of the screen in the photos.

Hey Brian! Thanks for your interest and question. A photo of the battery health has been uploaded. The ‘fleck is just below the middle of the screen and is very faint. About the size of small eyelash and almost entirely unnoticeable.

Good morning and thank you for your interest. Unfortunately that is an extremely lowball offer and I can not sell it for anything close to $170. That would be a 36% price reduction. It’s just not a possibility given its condition and residual value.

I understand what you are saying. But there aren't any accessories aside from the original box, case, etc. Asking me to take $100 off the sales price is simply unreasonable. The price reflects the value of the phone. The accessories and original packaging is simply to provide the buyer with confidence that his has been owned by me since original purchase and meticulously maintained.

Hi J! Thanks for inquiring! I can settle on $255 if you’re agreeable. If you look at all of the other offerings (same unlocked phone with similar battery life, condition, etc.) you’ll see that $255 is a reasonable sales price and below the average sales price of $276.

Is $255 the lowest you’re willing to go? Yes, the average price is $276, but your device has a battery health of 79%. That’s pretty low and will require a battery replacement from Apple which is roughly $79.

I can do $250. I completely understand your concern with battery life, and it’s entirely based on usage, but I could still manage to almost a full day of use out of it before placing on a charger in early evening. Moreover, the other devices being sold on Swappa have approximately the same battery life and are asking the same price or more.

Hi, I saw your listing and I'm definitely interested, but I wanted to point something out. As you are aware, the battery health is at 79%, which means it ***needs to be replaced immediately*** for normal use. Apple charges $89 for that on their website, so the $250 is still a bit high given the added cost. The other listings on this site and other sites are around the $240 range for significantly better battery health, upwards of 10% or more. The average consumer will care about the battery health more than the physical shape of the phone.

Considering this, would you be willing to do $230 instead? That’s a fair adjustment considering the battery replacement will have to happen right away. I’m ready to buy if you're open to it.

Good evening, Paul. I'm sorry for my belated reply, it's been a busy day. I also appreciate your interest and deliberate thought behind your comment/offer.

I understand where you and others are coming from and think it really comes down to need/perception. I got several hours of use out of the phone when I used it as my primary phone. (I can't say that definitively and don't want to be accused of making false claims, but the battery lasted over 6 hours without a charge back when I still used it daily. That said, some may find that unreasonable, but I'm not really in agreement that the battery has to be replaced immediately. It works very well and is a very well-maintained iPhone.

All that to say, I understand your point and can be reasonable. I currently have it listed for $269. Can we settle on $250? The way I see it, that is a perfect compromise between your $230 and my $269.

Hi, thanks for the response. May I know what your screen time is for the battery of a mini below 80% capacity to last all day?

My typical daily use is about 5 hours of active screen time and 3 hours idle. With a healthy battery (above 90%), the mini handles that fine with a single morning charge. But at 79% capacity, the battery would only charge up to around 1,901 mAh (from the original 2,406 mAh), which realistically wouldn’t last me even halfway through the day. For my needs, I’d have to replace the battery right away. Are you willing to compromise on $240 for it?

Unless there is a grievous issue with how I've represented the device (please note the previous comments where there is a virtually unnoticeable fleck on the screen) mediated by Swappa, I don't make a practice of accepting returns.

I hope that doesn't change your mind. I am not a reseller, just a regular human being selling a (well-maintained) phone that I subsequently replaced.

Let me know if you're still in agreement and I will lower the price immediately.

Oh no, yeah—sorry, that would probably be a deal breaker for me. There’s just no way to guarantee how the phone will look in person, especially since the photo quality tends to degrade when uploading to Swappa. Buying from third-party sellers always carries some risk, so I usually prefer listings that offer a return policy in case there’s an issue with the item... It’s not that I don’t trust you as a seller it’s just I like to make sure of everything I buy, I’m just taking steps to be careful especially if I am dropping a lot of money on something. Hopefully you understand..

Understood, Paul. Let me know if you change your mind. Swappa’s policies clearly state that sellers are required to accept a return for items received not as advertised (which I’ve fairly represented in this posting) and sellers are not required to accept a return in buyer's remorse situations.

That’s what I’m honoring in my promise to you. Again, I’m sorry if that’s unacceptable but I’m not interested in paying to ship it to you and then pay for you to return it to me even though it’s in very good condition. I just want to provide someone with a gently used phone and receive fair payment for it in return.
