Yeah I’m not sure why it shows the incorrect serial number on that page. The serial number is FCF4PYFLM9.

Could you please share the picture of the new serial number source? The apple system should display the correct serial number.

The number is invalid because it’s the serial number for the battery. I’m looking at my other Mac and the device serial number is different from the one on the battery section of the system information page.

Please go to apple logo then click about this mac. Please share that picture.

I did that on pic 4. I’ve already boxed it up, reset it and put it in a shipping box since someone on Reddit said they would buy and asked for an invoice. The apple website showed invalid because it’s the serial number for the battery. It’s too long to be the device serial number which is why the apple website shows invalid. Look at the picture , it’s in the “Power” section. The serial number of the device is valid and works on the apple website. In any case, the device doesn’t have any warranty or apple care if that’s what you’re looking to verify.

And before you pay, please make sure you read the description. I don’t have the original box for the m2 but I do have one for the m1. The m2 fits securely and without any issues but just fyi.
