Duh! So sorry, I added that to the description, can't believe I missed that! Here they are. AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, 60Hz AMOLED 4K Display.

Did you buy directly from Asus? Any warranty left ?

Dave B Seller
- Jan 22, 2025 - 05:41 PM

Daniel, I bought from Best Buy - Only warrant left is standard manufacturer warranty, which according to the best buy page is 1 year. So Sept 30 2025 is when it would end since I purchased on Oct 1.

Hi Daniel or Koko - are you interested in this device? It is literally in mint condition, and is an excellent performing computer, this price is really good.

Jan 23, 2025 - 12:12 AM

Iam interested
But price isn't fair

Dave B Seller
- Jan 23, 2025 - 08:44 AM

Please, tell me how the price isn't fair? This laptop is still going for 2300 new on Best Buy's site. My price is $500 below that, is only a few months old, is in almost perfect condition, ships with the original box and charger, AND has upgraded SSD, with an ADDITIONAL SSD alongside in the computer.

- Jan 23, 2025 - 10:23 AM

Dave, don't feel bad. I have watched Koko on this site a lot. They essentially always lowball people. But yet, they have zero feedback... I have watched other people fall for the lowball tactics. You have a nice computer and I am sure someone will be willing to pay a fair price for it.

I figured, thanks Tux! Hopefully she sells soon!

Jan 23, 2025 - 10:45 AM

Hi Tux
Iam not lowball people here as you say
Please don't say things I don't know

Jan 23, 2025 - 09:19 PM

apologies for the delay. I am interested but I need to compare with a few comparables first. I dont want to get into what is "fair". for me, my hesitation to pay top-tier price comes from 1) the fact that AMD and Nvidia already announced a new vintage of CPU adn GPU versus the one this laptop has; so this is a outgoing model in a way. 2) a close comparable is the 4060 model of this very P16. openbox P16 with that GPU I see them at around 1100. whether an upgrade to 4070 is worth $700, I guess will depend on the intended use. I will keep an eye.

Thanks for the input. I see your points. One clarification: technically this CPU is still current gen. The hx 370 is a Zen 5 part and is just now getting more placement in laptops. The P16 was one of the first to use it.

Daniel, what's an offer that would make you buy this today? If there is one?

- Jan 24, 2025 - 03:31 PM

If this is still here next friday, id be able to make an offer then.

Jan 29, 2025 - 09:03 PM

Hey Dave,
I'm looking to replace my gen 8 ThinkPad X1C. I'm looking towards the ProArt P-series because of the Ryzen 5 as an alternative to a potentially unreliable Intel current-gen chip.

How have things been with the AMD cpu? Any software issues? Is there an AMD utility?

Thanks,
David

Hi David. The HX370 chip in this laptop is a true monster. It is fast and cool, and when using the iGPU you get really good battery life. But then when you need it the 4070 is there. The ASUS utilities are good at managing the power settings, cooling settings and the special features of this laptop like the dial pad on the mouse. Overall I love this laptop. My only complaint was the storage, which is why I replaced it. You can't go wrong with this laptop in anyway.

Jan 29, 2025 - 10:02 PM

Good to hear, and thanks for getting back so quickly. My concern is the warranty. I've heard of a few QC issues relating to the P16, and I've learned that ASUS support is less than pleasant.

With this computer never leaving the house, I assume that it has spent most of its life on the charger, so I have a bit of a concern with the battery. I am a university student, so that is a big deal for me.

Would you sell for $1400?

Dave B Seller
- Jan 29, 2025 - 10:54 PM

I hear ya. I think 1400 is too low for this class of machine. I haven't had any problems with it and it has been on and off the charger, not on it full time. It just was never used outside the home. I think the lowest I could go is 1700 to you out the door. I could also set it up in windows and get battery stats of that would help.

Jan 29, 2025 - 11:05 PM

I'd love to have that battery information, that would help. Do you still have the original purchase receipt as well?

Dave B Seller
- Jan 29, 2025 - 11:22 PM

I will set it back up in the AM and get those stats for you. And yes, still have the receipt. Purchased at Best buy on October 1st.

Jan 29, 2025 - 11:36 PM

Thank you, Dave. I appreciate your help. I’m looking forward to hearing back from you. Have a good evening.

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 09:15 AM

David, added a pic of the battery stats as of this morning!

Jan 30, 2025 - 10:44 AM

Hey, thanks for doing that for me. I see you've dropped the price again. I'd be able to buy it today for $1500.

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 10:58 AM

Hi David, how about 1650? The battery has only lost 6% of it's life. And this laptop still goes for 2000 at best buy and other places, new (without the extra SSD I am including). If I took off 6% of the cost for just the battery, that would still be $1880 - so another 230 off that seems like a good deal to me.

Jan 30, 2025 - 12:12 PM

I appreciate your offer. Could we split the difference at $1575?

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 12:29 PM

Adjusted to 1600 - this is the lowest I can comfortably go with this beautiful laptop. How's that?

Jan 30, 2025 - 01:50 PM

I can live with that. Is there a hold you could place on it until I’m out of class?

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 01:54 PM

I can only increase the price to dissuade someone else from buying it.

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 01:55 PM

Adjusted temporarily.

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 01:56 PM

BTW, I found some screen protectors I had purchased. Those will be in the box. Honestly they don't fit very well, but I wanted to protect the screen.

Jan 30, 2025 - 01:58 PM

Thank you! I’ll be in touch later today.

Jan 30, 2025 - 06:18 PM

Hey, thank you for your patience. I'm ready when you are.

Dave B Seller
- Jan 30, 2025 - 06:40 PM

Hi David. Sorry for the delay, Swappa emails are super slow. Price is changed! I can ship in the AM!
