Do you know if your X14 supports esims?
It does, however e-sim in United States is blocked by default. You can unlock it by temporarily changing the region to another county, going to the cellular settings and then turning on esim functionality. Once it is turned on you can set the region back to US and the setting stays! I was able to use US Mobile and T-Mobile with e-sim. Please keep in mind that it only supports 1 e-sim & 1 Physical sim at a time.
To clarify you can have 1 e-sim alongside 1 physical sim... or 2 physical sims at the same time. When you turn on e-sim support it disables physical sim #2.
