I used the phone briefly on Verizon pre-paid. It worked out-of-the-box with my SIM card.
Full disclosure: The Sony Xperia VI is not officially sold in the US market. Consequently, US carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T will claim the phone is not fully compatible. Based on personal experience, the phone works fine with Verizon pre-paid without hassle. However, the process to get the phone working on AT&T requires one to have a physical SIM card that comes from an activated AT&T-branded 5G-enabled phone. This phone will not work with CDMA carriers such as Verizon and Sprint.
