Hey there Mo! I'm not entirely sure of when the window starts/ends, but Google's support page for Preferred Care might have information that may help you.

Says I can add within 30 days. Would this be eligible?

I pre-ordered on the first day of availability in August and got the unit in early September, so if the window hasn't already closed, it's probably close to over. But I don't know for sure. I'm also currently paying for Preferred Care (in the event I ultimately decide to keep the unit), but I'm unsure if you can transfer Preferred Care to another person.
