Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.
could do 925
$950?
Intrigued but dealing with another scam seller who posted a similar phone and locked up money for weeks while dealing with PayPal. Can you post a picture of box or dialog on why you arenβt a scammer who just signed up today??
Can you post a picture of the number in the other similar shots that you took. Item number is a completely different backdrop then photos
Good point, Tom C! I have some money locked on PayPal too and I kinda sense a scam here as well!
Yes maβam lots of scammers targeting high quick dollar deals and the place in green we speak on does almost nothing to prevent it and legitimately nothing when it actually happens
The verification picture is from the previous listing I messed up, and Swappa suggested I make a new one. I have uploaded a new photo with the correct listing number. I am not going any lower on the price. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.
Agreed, Tom C!
70% of my purchases this year were scams, believe it or not! And I am sure this one is too!
Just one more comment on people calling me a "scammer" immediately when the listing goes live. This is my first listing on this site, and am learning as I go. It's upsetting being labeled a "scammer" when you've never bought or dealt with me before. I can assure you this is a legitimate listing.
Oh well, Tanner, ALL scammers are new comers posting iPhones on very good prices and assuring that itβs a legitimate listing. I just had one the other day and now I have to wait 3 weeks or more to get my money back.
I understand your frustration which is why I decided not to go with eBay, buyers were trying to get me to do private deals with them and it got annoying. Calling me a "scammer" is just upsetting when using this platform for the first time, and you've never dealt with me.
I am not calling you a scammer Iβm asking that you post photos or comments to prove you are not. Beyond words saying you are not.. :)
Amy & Tom I have a video pending approval to once again assure you that I'm not a "scammer"
Post a picture of the case you speak of, why you are three hundred less than many others, post a picture with the listing number on the carpet and so we can see back of phone. Post a picture of the screen on showing IMEI number
And this site wonβt let you post pics of the full IMEI number, so correction to my advice before.. obfuscate the IMEI number (partially cover it) while having it on the screen powered up. Why is the price going up? Iβm out .. someone else can have this one if itβs legit
I have posted 2 new pictures per request, the cost of me going to the S24 Samsung phone is only $900 with my company discount so I'm selling my iPhone at a lower cost.
The picture of the case and magsafe wallet have been uploaded as well, and the price has not changed since the listing has been posted.
$900? Price went up?
The price started at $1097 from what I listed it as.
Can AppleCare plus be added still?
No I've owned this device longer then 60 days, so AppleCare plus cannot be added.
Ok when and where was it purchased?
It was purchased direct from Apple upon the launch date of the iPhone 15.
It isnβt refurbished or bought used?
I bought it brad new and am the only owner
I bought it brand new and am the only owner** sorry spelling mistake
Ok thanks can you go a bit lower? Thanks
I feel like the price is fair compared to everyone else on the platform, I cannot go any lower I'm sorry.
I too have had several experiences recently with buying on Swappa and am a bit hesitant to go through it again.
I understand, I can assure you this is a legitimate listing and not a scam lol.
If anyone decides to buy this phone, I would love to have a Swappa community chat and find out about the final outcome.
I guess a community chat would be really useful.
What do you think Swappa team?
If someone buys it just request the buyer to leave an honest review on my profile. I'd assume they'd be pretty forward about it.
If itβs a scam, they cannotβ¦
Ah I didn't know that, then yeah that would be useful. Are people able to leave comments on a listing that's sold? Or maybe a forum for the site? Sorry new to Swappa lol.
Correct if itβs a scam you canβt leaveβ¦ kinda making reviews worthless against scammers
Wow that's weird, in my opinion, you should be able to leave reviews for that type of stuff. It's how I determine to buy stuff of FB Marketplace/eBay.
Amy, did you get your money back on all the fraud through PayPal eventually? Not even sure I can trust PayPalβs buyer protection. One I just got scammed on they had pictures that lined up perfectly, passed all the IMEI checkers exactly as described, seller was responsive until he got PayPal withdrawal and then.. cricketsβ¦ waiting two weeks nowβ¦
Something I've had to do in the past is connect my card to PayPal then if someone tried to scam me I would charge back on my card and open a case with PayPal as well. It tended to escalate the situation a little.
Hey Tom: I did get my money back EVENTUALLY, except for one which I am still struggling withβ¦
Credit card chargebacks kill your dispute process with PayPal. Seems like thereβs a benefit to doing the PayPal dispute first then using credit card charge back second.
Yes you're correct Tom, my mistake do the PayPal dispute first then initiate a charge back. My mistake on that.
Seems to be a common problem on Swappa now. I wish it wasnβt.
I'm not too familiar with this platform but from what I've heard it seems to be.
