Was eSIM ever installed on the phone?

I’m not 100% positive what you mean by that. I had gotten it through a new Google fi service I signed up for. They sent it to me. I didn’t put another number in it. Is there a way to verify from the phone and I can check for you?

If you made calls with it, it would either have a sim card or eSim.
Esim the phone service is installed on the phone and does not have an sim card. Did it have a sim card?

I don’t recall if I installed a physical sim in there when I first got it, when I go home I’ll check and see if there’s a physical sim and let you know. Should be about 3-5 hours from now. The phone has been reset to factory so any eSIM (if set up) would have been wiped

There was a SIM card installed, so I’m presuming it used the sim and not the eSIM because now the phone top banner shows “no sim”. Hope this helps!
