I'm not sure about cricket. Ive used it on mint Mobile and it works well. No issues with play store or android auto. Only issue is Google pay with nfc will probably not work
Does the EU ROM receive ota updating or would I need to flash updates? Also, is the global version based on HyperOS or MIUI?
My setup doesn't support OTA updating. I think you would need to do something with TWRP or Fastboot to get that.
This Xiaomi.eu ROM is based off of MIUI. I believe there's a HyperOS based Xiaomi.eu ROM if you want to flash that
