Hello Jake, I'd like to know if the phone is unlocked to use any sim card, please follow the next steps to check it:
To check if your device is unlocked and available for use with non-T-Mobile SIM cards, follow these steps:
Go to the Home screen. Drag the arrow symbol up.
Scroll down. Choose Settings.
Scroll down. Choose About Phone.
Scroll down. Choose Network Unlock.
The device unlock status is displayed.
No it's not eligible for unlock. It does work on T-Mobile and MVNO's using their network. I tested cellular connectivity using a Mint SIM card.
What's the battery health?
Open the Phone app on your smartphone and input *#*#4636#*#* in the dial pad.
In the testing menu that pops up, look for Battery Information for details like charge level, battery temperature and health.
