Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.
I was wondering what you used it for
This is the newest card i purchased. Minimal use. I purchased 3 of them to mine, but a few issues came up.
It uses more electricity than a 3090 and I didn't have enough power in my mining room, so I swapped it into my PC until mining became unprofitable, and I swapped a 3090 into my PC.
I've been meaning to resell for a LONG time, but I have ADHD and get distracted. Eventually, I sold one on eBay but the fees were stupidly high.
I felt robbed, so It's just been sitting around since before whenever ETH switched to POS, in a sealed enclosure.
It's been turned off forever (but I did test before listing). Works perfect.
I found this site a few days ago and the fees are much more reasonable
The main GPUs I used for mining were the 1070s, so I'll comment on that if this test listing on Swappa works out, and I list other cards
At the time I put it into my pc, I was still using a 1070 for it, but i had bought new 4k monitors and wanted to test them out. HUGE difference from 1070 in terms of speed, fps, color (HDR), etc.
Once mining died, well, 3090s still perform better for regular usage, so I swapped it and 3080 ti just been sitting forever. I quit mining after ETH POS switch.
How much power draw does it take and does it require 2 PSU cables? The custom cables?
It uses a single 12-pin power plug
It comes with a 12 pin plug splitter, so the 12 pin splits into two 8 pins plugs.
If you want to overclock, you need to set the wattage to 350w vs 3090 is 320w and more hashrate.
Gotchya. I’ve got a 80+ 750w gold psu. Good enough?
For regular user PC, the equipment at max uses 150w, so 500w unless you have anything else that is not common and uses power. Also, ideally, you would normally use 80% of PSU, which is 600w for a 750, so you even have room for additional items
Ok so I should have the headroom. Now I just gotta think about it - 40' series with DLSS 3 seems pretty hot right now but the actual performance gains aren't as great....but are also more efficient. Lots to consider
Ya, I bought the 3080 ti knowing I would get less than a year of use of mining because of ETH POS switch. After that, I haven't kept up with the hardware. On Amazon, I see 4090 for $2000+. How much better is it? Idk.
What I do want is Nvidia's new AI cards, but that is out of my league. I think they're called H100s. And one "server" of them sells for $100k. I imagine I could find some way to monetize it, or even better, it could find some way to monetize itself for me LOL.
ha yeah those new cards are getting more and more driven by AI. I wonder if eventually Nvidia would not produce as much consumer cards. Then again, with things like DLSS maybe our actual video games will be more and more AI!
Well I'm still interested but maybe closer to $400 given the risk of a used card. I'll give it more time and thought
I know I'm random guy in the Internet so the value of my word isn't high, which is why I'm interested in crypto for Real World Assets so somehow we don't have to trust each other to do deals on sales sites like these, but I do agree with Swappas return policy. I know 100% the item works fine, you'd just need to test it for a day or so so that you'd know 100%.
So something like tracked shipping, and then within 2 days after arrival, you should have time to test it out and if it doesn't work, you can ship it back to me and I'll refund. I think that was the jist of the return policy.
Saw the description, but to confirm, you will ship it with the original box, correct?
Correct. Including anti static bag.
i logged in on a different device for the answer above. I thought I had created the account with login with google but apparently i did not.
Everything in the original box is included.
