I could work with you a little on price, but I cannot go that low, it’s basically brand new.

Naraynar are you willing (or able) to make a better offer?

Dec 23, 2023 - 10:31 PM

What is your final price? any warranty still left on this?

Tmats811 Seller

My apologies Naraynar, I'm probably going to just close the listing. I don't want to lose money to buy the smaller version (Tab S8+) and that is the way prices are trending.
Also it has nearly a full year warranty, since it was purchased brand new just weeks ago.

Hello! I am interested in the device, but plan to install lineage OS on it, could you check if the OEM option is available under developer options?

(I can send you a guide on how to check or you can look it up if your not sure how)

Hello, I don’t have the device with me to check, but I can later tonight.
Googling that question, I have found others have successfully installed it on the Tab S8 Ultra. Is it a software version concern, where certain versions prohibit the installation?

Jan 11, 2024 - 12:51 PM

Hello! Samsung is really bad in general for doing the whole custom OS thing, as they intentionally make the process really tough, and randomly lock tablets under a "KG Lock" that prevents any form of bootloader unlock, from what I know theres no way to know if your KG lock is active unless you check OEM in settings, note that if it at first doesnt appear, try connecting to wifi, clicking "check for updates" in the update section, restarting your device, and rechecking.

Sadly I love samsung hardware too much despite how bad their software is for privacy, thanks a lot for checking and sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello, I have added a couple of photos from the Developers Options section - the OEM unlocking option has been enabled. Is that what you were asking about?

Jan 11, 2024 - 10:18 PM

Yup! Thats exciting to hear, what are your thoughts on 615 for the device?

Tmats811 Seller
- Jan 11, 2024 - 10:27 PM

I’m sorry I cannot. It’s a 12gb version and it was purchased brand new in November 2023.

Jan 11, 2024 - 11:23 PM

Biggest issue is that theres someone else on the listing who has it marked as 650 same version but said he would sell for 600, I already sent him a message about oem and am waiting for his responce, but dont think its worth paying a lot lot more money for a device that seems to be devaluing relativly quickly rn, looked to buy this bad boy a few months ago and price was like 850

Jan 11, 2024 - 11:24 PM

It being rly new is worth extra, but I cabt justify myself paying too much over what I believe its true value is, what would be the lowest you would be willing to go?

Tmats811 Seller

I understand, but I am trying to minimize my loss since I did buy it new just a couple of months ago. Prices for mint or new remain consistently 10-15% higher than good, for obviously reasons, so I am going to stay in the ballpark I am now. If the prices drop too much, I will just keep it. Thanks for your interest though and good luck with your pursuit!
