Hello, is this device still locked to T-Mobile? The listing does not say. Because of Swappa's unlocked device policy https://swappa.com/faq/selling/unlocked-device , specifying T-Mobile as the carrier could mean either A the device is carrier-unlocked, or B the device is still carrier locked to T-Mobile. On an iPhone you can determine this by opening the Settings app and tapping General -> About, and next to Carrier Lock it will either say "No SIM restrictions" which means unlocked, or "SIM locked" which means that the device is locked to a carrier. Thanks.

Quite frankly Swappa has a box to indicate that a device is sim unlocked. This device is locked to T-Mobile.

If the phone were carrier unlocked, it would be indicated in the title indicating that the phone was originally a T-Mobile device but has since been unlocked.

Thank you for your reply. When looking at phones on the Swappa website as a buyer, it is not always clear if the phone is SIM locked or not. When filtering for Carrier = Unlocked, all of the results are unlocked, but for listings where Carrier = T-Mobile for example, the phone could be either carrier unlocked or still locked to T-Mobile, per https://swappa.com/faq/selling/unlocked-device , specifically "Swappa only allows factory-unlocked devices to be listed in the unlocked category." A buyer has no way to know that your particular habit is to indicate in the title that the phone was originally a T-Mobile device but has since been unlocked; you may wish to consider stating in your descriptions specifically that "device is locked to T-Mobile" for perfect clarity, as not all buyers are good enough to ask questions prior to purchasing the way I have.
