Scratches on body mostly on back cover see pictures, light scratches on screen and black rubber around display is worn, v key on keyboard is cracked, missing 2 rubber feet on bottom case, bottom case missing two screws, charger cable is yellowed, battery health is service recommended but functions fine.

Hi, can it be software updated? What's the highest version it updates to? Will it download WhatsApp and other newer apps requiring newer software versions
Can be updated to macOS 12 Monterey. This should support WhatsApp which requires macOS 11 or newer. Feel free to check for the other apps you want to run.

Why is it missing screws, why did you have to open it what did you do to it? What did you replace or what kind of work did you do
Screws just loosened and fell out over time, did not perform any work.

Battery has already been replaced by Apple due to recall.
Help me understand something: This model, with the i7 2.5gz, shipped with a 512GB SSD. Yours shows a 256GB and screws missing, which do not fall out, by the way. Can you say if you replaced the old drive with a new one?
Also, what's the least you are willing to take? I see scratches on every bottom corner, a huge gash/damage on the "V" key, and what looks like white polish on the black border of the screen which means you may have removed the lamination.
I did not replace the drive, it is a 256gb and i7 2.5ghz. I purchased it refurbished back in 2016, not sure if Apple sold this config or maybe something the previous seller changed and I was unaware of. The screws did fall out on their own, it happened after Apple replaced the battery under warranty so I think the technician used the wrong screw or didn't tighten them properly.
The condition issues are already list above including the scratches and cracked key. The screen is not delaminated, not sure what you mean by white polish but that's probably just a fingerprint or reflection.
