What is the brand of the fan upgrade?
It's the Huaying fan offered by ifixit. The original Delta fans were notorious for having a high pitched whine.
do you still have the original 256gb ssd? and how old?
I do have the original drive. And it's just over a year old, I think. Mostly used when traveling and otherwise left turned off at 50% charge.
The original 256gb drive is now with the rest of it.

One other question, brand of SSD?
I'd have to take it back apart to check. When I ordered it, the major brands weren't selling retail 2230s in that size. So it was taken from a Surface Pro.
