Can you get it unlocked?
Phone is sold as-is locked to t-mobile with a clean IMEI. Here is T-Mobile unlocking policy: https://www.t-mobile.com/responsibility/consumer-info/policies/sim-unlock-policy

You being the original buyer would be in the right position to get it unlocked
I would need to have it active on the account for 40 days and paid off. It was pre-ordered through T-Mobile and paid off. Again I am selling this as a locked phone, so no warranty is provided on your ability to unlock. Just assume it will be locked.
The 40 days on the account is the gotcha here; I use a dual SIM setup and have to stay with my previous phone because I can’t wait the 40 days right now (they used to waive this for travel purposes on accounts in good standing).
