Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.
Is this model XQCT62?
Hi, yes it is. Thanks!
Hi Russ, hope all is well! I've actually been looking all over for the 1 IV, but the only few devices I was able to find around this price point weren't in the greatest shape despite being a little cheaper. If there was any way you'd let this go for $700 flat, you have a buyer here ASAP! Let me know whenever you get a moment. Thanks a bunch.
Swappa doesn't let me set the exact asking price but I set it down to $701.
Hi Russ, interested and much like Alex I have been trying to find an Xperia 1 Mark 4, I have a few questions about the phone:
1.) Picture 1 there appears to be what looks like a scratch on the screen (could you either confirm this or perhaps it's a light refraction from flash)?
2.) How is the battery health? Could you provide the amount of charge cycles this phone has gone through?
3.) Is it possible for you to provide the IMEI?
I would like to run a check on the device just for safety
Let me know at your earliest convenience.
Thank you, Russ!
4.) Do you still have the original box for this phone, Russ? It would be extremely convenient to ship the device in.
In regards to question number 1.) After closer review, it appears that the phone you used to take a picture is being captured in the screen of the Xperia 1 IV and what were seeing is the outline of that camera phone and the cameras flash, do I have this correct?
5.) How long have you owned this phone?
Yes that’s just a light refraction in the first pictures. Android don’t provide charge cycles as far as I know but it seems to last all day at least. We’re advised not to provide the IMEI public ally but we do have to submit it to Swappa and they confirm the device isn’t locked out or blacklisted. It will be shipped in a priority flat rate box not a bag so no worries there. I’m not the original owner, I bought it here and I’ve had it maybe a month or two but I like my Pro-I more.
Will it come with the original packaging?
You wouldn't still happen to have the original Xperia I IV box, would you, Russ?
Yes, the phone itself looks in beautiful shape aside from the minor blemishes, slight shipping around the edges, and few small dents in aluminum body.
Sorry I don’t have the original packaging.
What is the main reason or reasons for wanting to sell this phone, Russ?
Is there any other issues or defects with this Xperia that I should be made aware of before attempting to purchase from you?
The screen is too narrow for my liking and I have too many Androids so I need to make room for the Pixel 8. The phone doesn’t have any defects that I’m aware of besides the signs of use around the frame and micro scratches on the screen.
Hey Russ, giving some serious consideration to purchasing this phone. Would you mind keeping this listing up longer? Also wondering what your return policy is for this Xperia?
Thank you for keeping this listing active.
I am still curious to learn more about your personal return policy(s) for this Mark IV.
Do you offer a reasonable return policy?
(For example, a 3-day or 14-day return)?
My return policy is only what's required by Swappa which is in cases of misrepresentation. If you don't feel I adequately described the phone then you'll be able to return it. Otherwise it's as-is. Thanks!
Hey Russ, wondering if you would be able to extend the time of this listing? Still interested and would appreciate more time to finance this phone if at all possible. Thank you.
Hi, I extended it and lowered the price a bit. What's your budget?
Firstly, I appreciate you extending the listing. Well, I would consider this phone an investment and I have been through a few phones - last flagship phone I owned was a BlackBerry Priv.
My budget is $600.00, would you be willing to come down a bit more and meet me in price?
Also, would it be possible to establish PayPal Pay-in-4 as a Payment method (Pay Later option in PayPal)? 4 Payments, Interest-free, I believe bi-weekly over the course of 6 weeks?
I’m not sure what your account is like with PayPal but usually I get 6 months of 0% interest through PayPal credit but you have to sign up for PayPal credit first. Then it should show up as an option during checkout with PayPal. Really you’ll have to work with PayPal on your options though, I’m just a person selling a phone I don’t want anymore. I’ll drop the price to $600.
I elected to use PayPal credit first and managed to signed up however I was not approved for the full amount and this is why I was asking about the PayPal Pay Later Pay-in-4 Option. One quarter is due and the remaining 3 payments are bi-weekly.
Have you had any success with the Pay-in-4 Option yourself, Russ?

Question about Carrier Compatibility: is this phone factory specific to Cricket and Ting?
I noticed your Galaxy S23 listing is compatible with multiple carriers, for example AT&T and Google Fi. I am currently running AT&T on my current android device and was wondering if you know if this Xperia 1 Mark 4 phone is compatible or not with service providers other than Cricket or Ting?
Hi, it is fully unlocked for use in US so it should be compatible with any US carriers. I know AT&T has specific supported devices for bring-your-own-device so you’ll need to look for that document and make sure Sony XQCT62 is on there.
