No damage. I replaced the thermal pads with https://kriticalpads.com/evga-3080-ftw3 and used new thermal paste.
All devices must be fully functional and meet our criteria for sale

Used 3080 that I purchased new directly from EVGA in 9/2021. It is still under EVGA warranty with 401 days left at this time of this posting. Added new set of thermal pads/paste. This card was not OC'd and was only used for light gaming. Original packaging included.

Hi Vanesa, if you compare it with previous and existing 3080 listings then you can see its in the same ball park for a used model. I believe there's another listing for an unopened card, but at that price I would start considering the current 4000 series cards for your son.
