Yes, the phone was always in a case and it had a screen protector on the outside screen

As you are finding out I am interested. That scratch assuming from a drop which happens to all of us does not in any way affect the operation of the hinge? Could I get a photo of the scratch from the short end looking directly at it from please.

Hey Mark. The scratch absolutely does not affect the hinge. I have never had any issues with opening or closing the phone. Also, the hinge generally got minimal use as I mainly operated the front screen. I will be able to get a different picture later if the one in the listing isn't satisfactory in showing the scratch. The listing is accurate for the condition of the phone. It was used but protected to above reasonable standards. Inside, outside, and camera glass protectors were in place the entire time it was in use.

2 new photos have been added that show the entire scratch as close and detailed as my camera will allow.
