I'm sometimes getting the buy lock error and sometimes I'm getting this error.

"We aren't able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please go back to merchant and try using a different payment method."

I'm not sure if it's my paypal or swappa. I've purchased things on paypal recently though so I don't think its that.

It turns out paypal flagged my account on my first attempt to purchase due to 'security concerns' that I cannot find any information about. I made a support ticket but they haven't responded yet, I may have to call them.

Actually, it may be your paypal account. I attempted to purchase other listings here and I'm not getting the error, the error only happens when I try to purchase from your paypal account.

If PayPal is denying a payment, this is usually an issue related to the attempted buyer's PayPal account (sometimes related to their lack of a confirmed shipping address: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/shipping-address-outside).

While less common overall, the issue could also be related to the seller's PayPal account being limited, so both parties should reach out to PayPal's support team (preferably over the phone) to ensure their accounts are ready to send and receive payments respectively.

I believe it's most likely a Paypal issue, paypal did block the first transaction attempt, but when they tried to 'override' the payment, it did not work.

They then told me retry yet the error persists. I think there actually is a block but whatever customer service rep I was dealing with didn't understand the issue.
