Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.
Please note that sellers should not share IMEI information nor are buyers permitted to ask for it. This FAQ page explains why: http://swappa.com/faq/sell/share-esn-numbers
Msg to Swappa:
I recently bought a phone on Swappa (LWMY15510). It turned out to be incompatible with and can't be used on both Verizon and T-Mobile. And the Model Number (SKU) is not in the list of devices that will work on the AT&T network.
HOWEVER, your "Free IMEI Check" (at https://swappa.com/imei) returns "Allowed. Can buy and sell on Swappa!" How does that happen??
That really puts the lie to Swappa's claim that "every device is fully functional . . . and is ready for activation on the network of your choosing".
I have wasted way too much time (and time is money) trying to get a refund. Can you make this right? (I can provide loads of details.)
And now with ABSOLUTELY no confidence that neither Swappa nor the seller will ensure a phone I purchase can be activated on the network of my choice I dare to ask the seller (of another phone) for the IMEI so that I can do the checks myself. I get swatted down for breaking the rules.
Can you make this right?
Gary M.,
