How long have you owned and why are you selling?

Hi there, mck - it was purchased upon release, but I recently moved over to Apple watch.

Ah, got it - the Instinct 2 solar came out last February, so it's a little less than a year old. I got the Apple watch on a Black Friday sale, so it's been sitting on a shelf for about two months while I made sure I wanted to switch ecosystems.

I appreciate your interest, but that's a pretty big hit since I just lowered the price - especially factoring in the fees. I could do $230, but I'm not sure I would like to go lower than that.

How long is the battery life? In your time using it, have you found Garmin's claim of unlimited life using solar to be true?

I wish I could say that I am actually in the outdoors as often as possible, but truthfully my time away from electricity is pretty sparse. I did a few overnight backpacking excursions (3-4 days) with it that involved tracking hikes and I didn't have to worry about the battery at all. I don't think I've ever seen it go below 40%, but nothing I ever did really stress tested it.
