Is this ios 15.1 or lower?
Yes, this phone supports iOS 15.1. It also all iOS updates since then.
what ios is it currently on?
Not the latest release, however, I am not able to see the exact iOS since we factory reset the phone for sale. We would need to re-setup the phone to view those settings. Sorry, hope this helps and thank you for considering the phone.
