Computer is in great condition, with the exception of the original coating on the keyboard has worn somewhat from regular use. There are also some small marks on the some of the edges of the lid and the case, mainly the back of the lid.

No worries. The Mac has been reset but I believe when I checked right before the wipe it said about ~430-440.
Upon purchase, would you transfer the Applecare+ warranty to the new owner?

You indicated that the “keyboard has worn out” is it really bad or noticeable?
Just that the original matte coating on the keyboard that kept your natural skin oils off isn't as strong as when it was new, and there is a bit more wear specifically on the left side of the space bar. Most every Mac I've ever seen doesn't have that coating after about 2-3 months of use.
