This one includes AppleCare+ which extends the warranty by a year and includes accidental damage protection. It's a $130 option. If you're not interested in the extended warranty and protection I would suggest getting the other iPad.

I am actually only interested in this item for the extra coverage which is why I am willing to pay extra $75 for it.

Sweet, you will be able to transfer the AppleCare+ over, right? Using the form online? For that I think you need to be the original owner and purchaser of the AppleCare.

Per the supplier I order from: No way to transfer ownership, you can utilize applecare+ and it will stay on that device. You are covered until Jan 18 2023

Are you sure? Apple does have an option - without it transferring to me theres a chance it can get cancelled from the original owner and I could be left without it.

That will work. From what I've researched there shouldn't be any issue. I know for sure that this tablet was purchased outright and not part of a payment plan.
