How is the battery life? How long does the watch last from a full charge before it's dead?

It varies widely depending on what features are being used. If GPS is enabled, if it's searching for wifi or cell signal if it's tracking workouts. How much data is displayed and if in an always on state. I wish I could provide more info but the answer has so many variables that I don't want to unintentionally provide erroneous information

That seems fair enough. I'm asking because I currently have an S2 that doesn't last 12 hours with gps, wifi, cellular off, and only bluetooth on with my phone in my pocket all day. I'm only using it for time, alarms and notifications. I'd like to replace it with one that I can trust not to die before bed.

This has a sim tray?

I just did a test and it still had nearly 60% battery after 24 hours. Not battery save and mobile data and Bluetooth were enabled.

Can it be connected with an unlocked phone and still function well?

I don't see why not but I had it connected to an ATT phone and also stand alone so not 100% sure

Thanks for the info Matthew. I'm going to pass on this one because I think I want a silver one. I can vouch for the watch pairing with any Android phone, regardless of carrier. What I don't know is if the watch itself is cross-carrier compatible. I currently use an ATT S2 with a Verizon phone.
