Was it purchased an importer retailer? like 6ave electronics. A “gray market” camera is one that is advertised for a price significantly less than is charged by the original manufacturer or their authorized dealer. Sony happens to be one of the many manufactures that do not and will not service those products warranty or not even if you pay for the service. They will refuse.
