How is the battery on it, I know these guys suffered from battery degradation issues, bootloop issues, and random shutdowns. Any of those issues present on this?

It's stock, version 8.1.0. I've never messed with the bootloader or custom ROMs on this phone.

Battery is acceptable. It's not going to last you multiple days or anything, but it will idle for about a day. No bootloop or random shutdown type of issues.
