Although the phone is paid in full with no contract, and Verizon use to automatically unlock all of their phones, Verizon's new policy is that the phone will remain locked so it can only be activated on Verizon for 60 days. After 60 days it will automatically be unlocked and you will be able to activate it on any carrier that supports this specific version of the iPhone 12 Pro.
