Hello. I am interested in this device. However, the description is a little confusing. I need a T-Mobile-only device as I have had a difficult experience with "unlocked" phones working on the T-Mobile network. Is this an unlocked device or first-carrier specific device?

iPhone XS Max is identical across carriers in terms of hardware. Every US version of the phone (A1921) has the exact same specs, so it's impossible for one carrier-specific XS Max to work better on a network than another XS Max which may have been originally unlocked or locked to another carrier.
My listing is for a "first-carrier specific device", which means it'll lock to the first network it's activated on (T-Mobile in your case), and work the same way as any other locked XS Max A1921 would.
