how old is the chromebook? did you ever use it for streaming? how loud are the speakers? is it Reset to factory settings? how long does one battery charge last these days?

Its 3 years old. I've used it for streaming quite a bit and playing local content with Kodi. Speakers are your average laptop speakers. You can hear just fine in a quiet room. They won't blow you away. The machine has been reset. Battery life varies with usage but the battery is in good shape. I would usually keep it plugged in if I was watching a lot of content. I've never run it dry with normal usage. I would use it for browsing and put it back on the coffee table and not have to charge it for a week. If I had to estimate, watching stuff like YouTube or Netflix you could probably got 6-8 hours on a charge. If it were light internet usage, easily all day and probably most of a second day.

Additionally, this supports Android apps and Linux apps as is. I even had full Linux installed through developer mode at one point and it ran well. That takes a little more in-depth effort though.

Can you post a pic of the battery_test for this?
(if needed) Open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and type run battery_test
