No there was no apple care. You maybe able to check with apple if the swaps receipt would work for apple care I am not sure if they will or not.

Aditya I am not sure about the taxes for NJ you should be able to start the checkout and see before having to finalize the purchase. I can ship it for next day on Monday. As far as the warranty I do believe that Apple has a limited liability warranty for 1 yr of retail purchase.
