Does it have AppleCare+? If not, is it still eligible?

I am currently paying for AppleCare+ by the month. Once I cancel it when the phone is sold, I don't know whether it will be eligible for the buyer to get AppleCare+ on it.

According to Apple, AppleCare+ paid monthly cannot be transferred: "If you pay for your AppleCare plan on a monthly basis, it's linked to your Apple ID for billing purposes and can't be transferred to a new Apple ID."

The phone is past 60 days (orig. date Sept. 23), so it should be eligible to be unlocked.
