No apple care means no warranty? How, XS Max released in 09/21/2018. So even if you bought it on release date, it should have warranty on 09/20/2019. Is it not an apple device?

It is obviously an apple device but I never purchase apple care on any of my devices because I chose not too. Same as I don't buy any Samsung protection on my Samsung devices.

You got confused. AppleCare is standard one year warranty that comes with every apple device. You don’t need to buy. People buy AppleCare+ as additional service. Now tell me when does the original warranty expire?
