I'm interested in this phone but I need to make sure the IMEI is not T-Mobile blocked like the last one I bought. It was clean on Swappa but blocked on T-Mobile because the original owner had not fully paid it off.

Can you please run the IMEI through https://www.t-mobile.com/resources/bring-your-own-phone to confirm that this phone is not T-mobile blocked? I am very interested in the phone.

Nienna: you should return that device. Swappa will absolutely require the seller to accept a return, even if it was 6 months ago. It is 100% seller responsibilty to ensure imei is clear.

This one the imei does come up clean. T-mobile imei checker isn't 100% reliable. Occasionally this happens with t-mobile devices.

Unfortunately people sometimes trade in their used devices and report them lost/stolen after a few months. On ebay you are stuck with it. Swappa keeps everyone honest.

Yeah it was from e-Bay, I didn't know about this site. The seller wasn't the original owner, he didn't know his ex hadn't paid it off and was deeply sorry. He had no use for it so he said to do a chargeback on paypal instead. We had called t-mobile they verified it was blocked due to not being paid off.

So this one shows up clen on T-mobile, as in not blocked? I'll buy it if it does.
