Did you purchase preferred care? Does there appear to be anything wrong with the display quality (blue tint, etc)?
No preferred care, no blue tint on screen, this is a late model pixel2xl and tint was fixed on later models.

When did you purchase the device? Do you have proof of purchase? When does the manufactures warranty end?

Earlier you said it was a late model, which I interpreted as you bought it in the beginning of this year, right before Google discontinued sales. Now you're saying it's from 2017, which would make it an early model. What's the truth, and when did you purchase the device?
Meaning the panda edition came out in January 2018 witch is what I have, and the pixel2xl came out in 2017. Devices was purchased 2018 of March and never used.
