Fearfever: Please follow these steps to access information about your Mac notebook battery, including it's CURRENT cycle count:
Hold the Option key and click the Apple () menu. Choose System Information.
Under the Hardware section of the System Information window, select "Power". The current cycle count is listed under the "Battery Information" section. Typical battery life for any Macbook is about 1000 cycles before it needs replacing, which can be an added expense for the buyer out of the box.

For more current OS versions like Mojave, this is actually done by simply clicking the Apple in the top left, then "About this Mac"--> "System Report"-->"Power"-->"Battery Information"-->"Health Information"-->"Cycle Count": Have a 2013 MacBook Air with 419 cycles out of 1,000. This is crucial info to sale that Swappa should be asking folks to include by default, in my opinion. (Heads up, Mods--something to be considered.)
