Curious why a brand new phone is opened and check and not just sealed in box...Verizon iphones are unlocked and if defective Apple would of handled. Just wondering (learning experience not challenging your efforts)

I want to make sure things work before shipping a phone to someone. A horrible experience to spend a lot of money only to get a dud. Apple products are great but I would rather go through defective exchanges than have my buyers go through that. Sold many phones while only a handful of issues but if I can prevent I will.

Is the Apple 1 year warranty still in effect with the phone when purchased even though you have opened the package? Thanks.

Yeah as long as nothing happens to void the warranty, like physical or liquid damage, then warranty is still good for the year. It is tied to the devices IMEI.

I just checked it and it is still good till March 9th 2020. I uploaded a screen shot from apple’s warranty check website.
