Hi What is the firmware? Body?Lens?

Feb 04, 2019 - 04:23 AM

Why are you selling?

Feb 04, 2019 - 04:24 AM

Any fuji glass optionally available? Thanks

Firmware: 2.01 (released 31 Jan 2019). No lens included, it's body only. I do have Fuji lenses I'm willing to sell (16-55mm f2.8, 50-140mm f/2.8, 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6), but I have not put them up on Swappa. If you're interested, let me know, I will post them here. I'm selling to downsize my cameras/lenses.

Feb 04, 2019 - 08:37 AM

good morning Steve
thanks for your reply.
You are a serious photographer, I see by your firmware update and collection of expensive lens

Feb 04, 2019 - 08:41 AM

As I am sure you know Fuji has been pushing via a aggressive promo the package that you are selling.
I have your deal pegged/budgeted @ $1025.
Can do it now if you like.

Might be open to your 16-55 lens too ( if the price was right)
But you could probably do better selling separately.
if you have the patience.
( I say that to myself too, having the slower similar kit lens and watching my social security check)
Thanks for your consideration.
I'll be available for the next hour if you have the time to follow up now.

Sir: Heading out for the day.Further research on the 16-55 lens, the bulkiness ( though ok I guess with your camera and grip) has me pulling back on that.
However, I do encourage you to consider my offer on x-h1.
Thank you
Peter

Peter,
The Fuji discounts/price drops on the the X-H1 definitely affected the sale price of my camera. New ones are going for $1299 on B&H (which hurts, because I bought it on sale. For $2050). I can do $1075, with Ground Shipping. As another option, I have an X-T2 with vertical grip (camera is in excellent condition, with the box and all components; vertical grip was bought used, so just the grip; 3 NP-126S batteries) I'll sell for $850 (shipping included). Think X-H1 without in-body image stabilization, and a slightly smaller body.
On the lens front, the 16-55mm is bigger than the kit lens, but it stayed on my camera. HAving said that, only you can make the choice that's right for you, and I fully respect your decision. The Fuji kit lenses are quite good!

Steve,
Thank you for your thoughtful replies.
Just realized you living in Hawaii that there is a five hour difference. ( looked it up thought it would be more
I am guessing International Date Line plays a role too)
Projecting ground shipment seems like it could be a long time.
Normally it would not bother me, but a factor is living in New York City, I recently bought your same set up @ $1299. The time element is possible loss of return period.
That could be a big setback. With two of the same.
Not recanting my interest but rather juggling an ongoing warranty and also important 3 brand new fresh fuji batteries ( high oem replacement costs) versus savings your deal offers.

Feb 04, 2019 - 05:05 PM

Thanks for your suggestion and counter offer of the T2 . I also it have it ( at full retail slightly before the availability of T3- I feel your pain at the devaluation of our equipment)

Feb 04, 2019 - 05:12 PM

Getting to the point, I assume that you are a professional photographer- likely wedding.
( I could be wrong ) . Does the humidity in Ha. impact on the life of the batteries?
With two grips do you have a total of 6 Fuji branded batteries ? Or do you switch the
3 interchangeable batteries between the two grips? Or do you also use Wasabi etc. third party batteries too.

Feb 04, 2019 - 05:21 PM

I would be keen on the sale/purchase of your camera combo (h1) if it is
in good shape and I could expect a long life of your fuji batteries and you included the additional 3 fuji batteries.
At your suggested price of $1075. I accept your counter offer, slow shipment, assurance of the quality of your equipment if you will include the extra (3 + 3 extra
fuji batteries)
And going on your promise I will return my X H1 to Adorama.

Steve
I hope that you find this mutually agreeable.
If not I can certainly understand and respect your position.
Thank you for patience in reading these long winded comments.

Sincerely

Peter

I did have to read through all you comments 😁, but no worries!

I need to be clear, the X-H1 comes with the vertical/battery grip and 3 batteries, not 6 (all Fuji, not third party). The other 3 batteries will go with the X-T2 and its vertical grip.

I haven’t used third party batteries, although others do and say they are fine. Me being me, I’ll stick with the Fuji-branded ones.

Regarding your other question, I have not seen any significant effect on the batteries from the local Hawaii weather.

Please let me know if the above (X-H1 w/ vertical grip, in the box with all included accessories and total of 3 x NP-126S batteries for $1075) is acceptable. If so, I will amend the Swappa listing with the new price, and get to FedEx and send you the tracking number within 24 hours of your purchase. Is that acceptable?

Regards,

Steve

Peter,

A quick check on FedEx, and it looks like I can do 2nd Day shipping for an acceptable price, so estimate delivery by Monday (I probably won't be able to get to the nearest FedEx before they pickup tomorrow, so don't want to give any false expectations).

Feb 04, 2019 - 09:11 PM

how hard do you push the batteries?
i.e. I am a senior and use in summer for practice mostly. weeks months for me without using.

Feb 04, 2019 - 09:12 PM

You weekly wedding shoots?

Feb 04, 2019 - 09:15 PM

it boils down to if I have to replace batteries soon, I am better staying with new unit I have
Dont mean to put you on the spot,Steve, but it is a big investment for me

I am not a wedding photographer, just a hobbyist. I do not use this camera heavily, but I do keep the batteries charged (better for lithium-ion) and rotated them frequently, so they all got equivalent use. Granted they are not new, but they are in excellent condition, and should give you no problems compared to the new camera/batteries. At the risk of sounding a bit salesman-ish, this camera isn't brand new, but you won't able to tell that once you see and use it. Your choice, sir. I fully understand your concerns, and respect whatever decision you make.

Feb 04, 2019 - 09:43 PM

thank you, sir.
perhaps a comprise $1050, and send the cheapest way for you.
I will return my new unit, asap- because I do believe you. ( no offense- but not always the case.
$1050 , I'll do Pay Pal now, take your time -no rush . You send the cheapest way possible.
Are we ok?
if so Ill stand by for price change to $1050, and complete sale now.
Thank You

- Feb 04, 2019 - 10:14 PM

Sorry, but $1075 is the lowest I'll go.

Feb 04, 2019 - 10:23 PM

thank you.
this is tiring but
reluctantly, I'll pass.
Thank you, Steve, for your time and patience.
Sincerely,
Peter
PS best of luck to you
