Yes, the white dot is a bit of dust. Apparently, I wasn’t as careful as I thought when I took the pictures.

How much does the battery last?
The battery seems to last well; I imagine you would only have to charge it every night. I haven’t been using it, but while it hasn’t been plugged in for two days, the battery indicator says it’s half full.
