2013 13" Macbook Pro with Retina Display

8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
Graphics: Intel Iris 1356 MB
Current cycles: 590
This MacBook is still in excellent operating condition with light cosmetic damage from use (nothing out of the ordinary for the well-loved computer of a writer (apparently I like to use the letter N)). The very slight etching on the screen is the result of a silly Apple design flaw, with the keyboard in contact with the screen when closed, but is not visible at all when the screen is in use. I tried to take a photo to give a sense of it. The power charger still works well though you can find a replacement for reasonable cost (again, the fraying is a victim of an Apple design flaw).
The computer ships with a wiped hard drive and is currently loaded with OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite).
I will ship with original box, charger (as-is), and extension cord.

I'm interested in yours, but similar mac book pro 13" 2013 is starting around $550 on ebay. Can you lower the price a little bit? I don't care cosmetic issues as long as it works fine. I need a mac for software development and I think this 2013 should be fine for my purpose. Thanks!
Hi Cooly,
Thanks for your interest. How about if we meet in the middle at 580?
Hi Brian,
Thanks for your offer. How's the battery condition? I've read somewhere 1000 cycles are a rough estimate of battery life time and it costs $199 with Apple to replace.
Hi Cooly,
I hadn't noticed any decline in battery life while using it. 8-10 hours was typical off power if I wasn't doing anything unusually intensive like video and if I had the screen at a moderate brightness. I replaced the computer only because work provided a new one but was very happy with it until the end. Actually in a lot of ways I liked it better than my new MacBook because now they only have USB-C ports, which is annoying. This one has USB, HDMI, memory card port, etc. You can see that it is at 590 battery cycles; that was four years of use for me so with your 1000 cycle measure that should give you a good amount of time before worrying about changing the battery, especially if it's plugged in frequently.
Thanks Brian, let me think. My purchase is not urgent so would like to get a cheaper one if possible.
Let me know what you decide. It's yours if no one else beats you to it.
Would you take $500?
Hi Grant, thank you for your interest. I had initially listed it over 600 and dropped it after interest from another potential buyer. I don't want to go too low because it is already a very good price compared to similar models for sale. That said, I could do 540. Will you meet me there?
