Pixel 6 Pro

Google announced the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6 on October 19, 2021. The Pixel 6 Pro features the new Google Tensor chip and Titan M2 security coprocessor, as well as a brand new exterior design. A big focus of the new design is the camera bar across the back, which includes a 50MP wide camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, 48MP telephoto camera, and an LDAF (laser detect autofocus) sensor. Other features of the Pixel 6 Pro include a 6.7” display with Smooth Display and up to 120 Hz refresh rate, a 5,003 mAh battery with fast wired and fast wireless charging, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, up to 512GB of storage, and an 11.1MP front camera. The Pixel 6 Pro launched with Android 12, and Google will provide Android OS updates for three years and Android security updates for five years.

Pixel 6

The Pixel 6 was announced on October 19, 2021, alongside the Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 features a new exterior design, and it is powered by Google’s first processor, the Google Tensor chip with the Titan M2 security coprocessor. The Pixel 6 ships with Android 12, and Google has promised a minimum of three years of Android OS updates and a minimum of five years of security updates. Along with the Google Tensor processor and new design, the key features of the Pixel 6 include a 6.4” FHD+ OLED display with Smooth Display and up to 90Hz refresh rate, a 4,614 mAh battery with Battery Share, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, up to 256GB of internal storage, and a rear camera array with a 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide, and an LDAF (laser detect autofocus) sensor.

Pixel 5a 5G

Google announced the Pixel 5a 5G on August 17, 2021, and it serves as the successor to the Pixel 4a 5G. The Pixel 5a 5G launched with Android 11 and is upgradeable to Android 12, and as the name suggests, there is support for 5G connectivity. The Pixel 5a 5G has an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, which is a first for the Pixel “a” series. Other highlights include a 4,680 mAh battery with fast charging, Adaptive Battery and Extreme Battery Saver, a 6.34” Full HD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 765G processor, 128GB of storage, 3.5mm headphone jack, the Titan M security chip with Pixel Imprint for device security, and a dual-pixel 12MP and 16MP ultrawide camera array on the back.

Pixel 5

Google announced the Pixel 5 in September 2020. The phone launched alongside the Pixel 4a 5G and serves as the successor to the Pixel 4. The Pixel 5 supports mmWave and sub-6 5G networks, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with Octa-Core processor. The phone also has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 4,080 mAh battery with fast wireless charging, a 6.0-inch FHD+ OLED (2340 x 1080) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6, and a 100% recycled aluminum encasing. The Pixel 5 has an 8MP f/2.0 aperture fixed focus camera on the front and a dual-camera setup on the back. The rear camera setup includes a 12.2MP dual-pixel camera with an f/1.7 aperture and 77-degree field of view, as well as a 16MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture and 107-degree field of view. The rear camera features include Live HDR+, Portrait Mode, Portrait Light, Top Shot, and Night Sight.

Pixel 4a 5G

The Pixel 4a 5G was officially announced in September 2020. This model enters the Pixel 4 family, and as the name suggests, supports 5G networks. The Pixel 4a 5G is available in Just Black. However, there is also a Verizon exclusive model in Clearly White. The Verizon model supports mmWave 5G networks, with the non-Verizon model supporting sub-6 5G networks. The Pixel 4a 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, and it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. The phone has a soft-touch polycarbonate unibody design, and features a 6.2-inch (2340 x 1080) display, 3,885 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a 12.2MP dual-pixel and 16MP ultrawide camera setup on the back. Highlights for the rear camera include Live HDR+, Portrait Mode, Portrait Light, Super Res Zoom, Top Shot, and Night Sight.

Pixel 4a

Google announced the Pixel 4a in August 2020. The Pixel 4a features a 5.8-inch FHD OLED+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080. The display also offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, HDR support, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Pixel 4a is the mid-range model in the Pixel 4 (and 4 XL) lineup, but due to the lower price point, the 4a is often a better option for most people. Highlights of the Pixel 4a include 128GB of storage space, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3,140 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, and a soft-touch polycarbonate unibody design. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor with 6GB of RAM and has Pixel Imprint with the Titan M security module. Google equipped the Pixel 4a with an 8MP camera on the front and a 12.2MP camera on the back. The rear camera feature set includes an f/1.7 aperture, Night Sight, Top Shot, Portrait Mode, Live HDR+, Motion Auto Focus, and Frequent Faces.

Pixel 4 XL

Google released the Pixel 4 XL in October 2019 alongside the regular-sized Pixel 4. The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL share a similar feature set, with the Pixel 4 XL having a larger display and a larger battery. The Pixel 4 XL has a 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display with HDR support and Smooth Display, which allows for a refresh rate of up to 90hz. The battery is a 3700 mAh. Other key features of the Pixel 4 XL include the Snapdragon 855 processor with the Pixel Neural Core and Titan M security module, as well as a 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, and Android 10. The camera setup on the Pixel 4 XL includes a wide-angle 8MP camera on the front, and a 12.2MP dual-pixel camera and 16MP telephoto camera on the back. The Pixel 4 XL also arrived with new camera-related features such as Frequent Faces, Dual exposure controls, and Motion Sense.

Pixel 4

The Pixel 4 was released in October 2019 and arrived featuring a 5.7-inch display with Smooth Display, which allows for a refresh rate up to 90hz. Other hardware features of the Pixel 4 include a Snapdragon 855 processor with the Pixel Neural Core and Titan M security module, 6GB of RAM, options for 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and a 2800 mAh battery that supports fast wireless charging. The Pixel 4 was released with Android 10 and included several new features dealing with the camera. The Pixel 4 added a 16MP telephoto camera alongside the 12.2MP dual-pixel rear camera, and also added camera features such as Frequent Faces, Dual exposure controls, and Motion Sense.

Pixel 3a XL

Google introduced the Pixel 3a family during Google I/O in May 2019. The Pixel 3a family included the regular-sized 3a and the larger sized Pixel 3a XL. The Pixel 3a XL shares most of the features found in the Pixel 3a, with the exceptions being the 3a XL having a larger display and a bigger battery. The Google Pixel 3a XL has a 6.0-inch FDH+ OLED display and a 3700 mAh battery. Otherwise, the Pixel 3a XL feature set includes a Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an 8MP front-facing camera and a 12.2MP dual-pixel camera on the back. Other camera-related features include support for HDR+, Night Sight, Top Shot, and Portrait Mode.

Pixel 3a

Google introduced the Pixel 3a during Google I/O in May 2019. The Pixel 3a was unveiled as a mid-range, and more affordable option compared to the Pixel 3. However, due to the Pixel 3a offering a full-featured camera experience and a 3.5mm headphone jack, the Pixel 3a was released to a welcoming audience. The Pixel 3a features a 5.6-inch display, Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage space. You can also expect to find a 3000 mAh battery, polycarbonate unibody design with Active Edge support, and a camera setup that includes an 8MP on the front, with a 12.2MP dual-pixel camera on the back. The Pixel 3a also supports many of the key Pixel camera features such as Night Sight, Top Shot, Portrait Mode and HDR+.
