Google Pixel 3 XL Reviews

I got a great deal on a fantastic phone. This is my 6th family Nexus\Pixel phone and I will continue to purchase them in the future.
Great phone
Excellent phone for the price.
Love the Google phones, and came in great condition per advertised. Seller was quick to send out also. Came with all original items like when you would buy new.
It's a sweet phone for the money.

I bought this phone for my 84 year old mom. She was thrilled with it.
excellent!
This is an amazing phone. Good value for money, especially the price I paid on Swappa. Only gripe, I bought it thinking that it would support DSDS based on the articles I read from people who had it working with Android 10 beta, but it was removed from the final version of the software. Hope google listens to people and brings the dual sim support back.
Good phone!

Bought for 2 reasons: It is 'made for Google Fi.' Has a flat screen.
Transferring some apps from a Samsung Note 4 was problematic. Some of the app settings were not compatible with Pixel 3, but it tried to used them. For example, Pixel 3 does not have external storage, but specified external storage for some transferred apps that used it on the Note 4. Some other app settings were not compatible. Had to go through many apps reset the settings. Still buggy. May have to do a system reset and start over.
If you are changing from an Android phone to Pixel 3, it may be better to backup your old phone to Google and transfer data only to Pixel 3. Then set up your Google account on Pixel 3 and let it download apps from Google.
Camera is good, but does not have a broad range of settings.
Notifications are not very customizable and lack repeat.
Google App (Assistant) often has to be disabled to prevent constant display on a screen and to prevent excessive data use. I cannot close the app.
Android Messages is a terrible app. This is the fault of the app, not Pixel 3. In permissions it has options to ignore battery optimization and prevent phone sleeping, among other permissions. Most of the permissions cannot be enabled in the app or in the permissions target app. After phone has been sitting a few minutes, Messages goes dormant. Unless phone is moved or screen is unlocked, a message will not be received for an extended period.
If you want to send an attachment in Messages via SMS or RCS (Chat) it gives two sources only: Gallery and Camera.
If you don't use RCS (Chat in Messages), I suggest a third party message app.
Lacks a good file explorer/manager.
The Android system (Q, 10) is fast. It will receive data very fast. Downloading apps or app updates is fast and installing apps is very fast. General data download or file transfer is very fast.
Sound across apps varies widely. For example, Voicemail app narration/instructions volume is very low. Increasing Call, Media, Ring, Alarm volumes make no difference. Volume of voicemails received is OK.
