iPhone Xs vs iPhone 11

The iPhone XS is smaller and lighter than the iPhone 11. The iPhone XS has a display size of 5.8”, a weight of 6.24 ounces, and measurements of 5.65” (H) x 2.79” (W) x 0.30” (D). The iPhone 11 has a display size of 6.1”, a weight of 6.84 ounces, and measurements of 5.94” (H) x 2.98” (W) x 0.33” (D).

The iPhone XS and iPhone 11 both have a dual 12MP rear camera array, but the XS has a wide and telephoto lens and the 11 has a wide and ultra-wide lens. Both phones have key features such as Portrait Mode and Portrait Lighting, and the iPhone 11 adds additional features such as Night Mode and Deep Fusion. On the front, the iPhone XS has a 7MP TrueDepth camera and the iPhone 11 has a 12MP TrueDepth camera with new features such as 4K video recording.

The display size of the iPhone XS and iPhone 11 is similar. However, this is a unique case where the older iPhone XS has a higher quality display as compared to the newer iPhone 11. The XS has a 5.8” Super Retina HD display with HDR, a resolution of 2436 x 1125, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The 11 has a 6.1” Liquid Retina HD display with a resolution of 1792 x 828, and a 1,400:1 contrast ratio. Some of the shared display features include True Tone, wide color (P3), and a 625 nits (typical) max brightness.

The iPhone 11 can offer up to 14 hours of video playback time or up to 60 hours of audio playback time. In comparison, the iPhone XS can offer up to 17 hours of video playback time or up to 65 hours of audio playback time. Both of these iPhones support fast-wired charging using a Lightning cable and 20W wall power adapter, and Qi wireless charging.
